Have you ever felt so overwhelmed you don’t know where to begin on your weight loss journey? You have tried so hard in the past with numerous diets or exercise programs, giving yourself an ultimatum that tomorrow is going to be different and you’re going to change everything. Yet you find yourself in exactly the same place as before?
You’re not alone. Most of the clients I meet with as a health coach feel the same way and are looking for real answers. There are so many choices we have available to us these days to help us on our health journey which can often lead to decision paralysis. You end up not knowing what the best choice is for you. You get lost in conflicting information on social media and other sources. You freeze and stay the same because of uncertainty.
So where DO you begin?
Start where you feel ready to make a change and where you feel confident you can change.
Start out with something small that you can tackle today. For some of my clients, the first goal in their weight loss journey is to get their health numbers and see a doctor. For others it is drinking one extra glass of water per day, eating an apple with lunch, or eating one vegetable at dinner each night. Perhaps it is getting the old running shoes out of the closet and setting them by the front door. Keep your goal simple and small and give yourself two or three choices. The most important thing is to start on something today that you can build on over time.
